A Fusion of Traditions: My & Kevin’s April Wedding at Retreat 21

My and Kevin’s wedding at Retreat 21 in April was a beautiful celebration blending cultural traditions and modern romance. The day perfectly captured their unique story—a harmonious mix of Vietnamese and Chinese customs with a contemporary Western twist.

The day began with traditional Vietnamese and Chinese ceremonies, honoring the rich cultural heritages of both families. Vibrant red and gold details set the tone, symbolizing prosperity, joy, and good fortune. The tea ceremonies were a heartfelt highlight, filled with meaningful exchanges and blessings from family members, emphasizing the deep respect and connection both My and Kevin hold for their loved ones.

After the intimate cultural ceremonies, the celebration transitioned seamlessly into a Western-style outdoor ceremony. Set against the natural backdrop of Retreat 21’s stunning landscape.

What made this wedding truly special was how My and Kevin balanced tradition with their own personal style. From the customary rituals to the modern Western celebration, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect both their shared history and the life they’re building together. Guests enjoyed a reception that honored both cultures with a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary dishes, music, and décor, providing a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
