There’s something undeniably magical about a romantic rainy day wedding! Nachelle and Eric’s celebration at High Line Car House in Columbus, Ohio proved just that. As a Columbus, Ohio wedding photographer I have to say that High Line Car House is one of my favorite wedding venues. Their day, planned with expert intention by The Finer Things Event Planning, unfolded with a kind of effortless elegance that only rain can bring: the soft light, the cozy textures, the sense of slowing down and savoring.
From the first look to the last dance, their wedding was filled with thoughtful details, romantic florals by Dalay Ket Floral, and an intimate atmosphere that made every guest feel like part of the story.
Located in the heart of the Brewery District, High Line Car House was the perfect setting for Nachelle and Eric’s day. With its exposed brick walls, warm wood beams, and tall windows letting in moody natural light, the venue provided a cozy, upscale backdrop that complemented their timeless aesthetic.
Even as the rain came down outside, the inside of High Line glowed with warmth and love.
Every detail of the day was brought to life by The Finer Things Event Planning, whose team curated an experience that felt both luxurious and deeply personal. From managing rain plans with grace to keeping the day flowing smoothly, their work behind the scenes ensured everything felt effortless for the couple and their guests.
Dalay Ket Floral transformed the space with lush arrangements in rich, romantic tones. The ceremony installation was a standout moment: a sweeping floral arch bursting with texture and depth, framing Nachelle and Eric as they said their vows. Bouquets and centerpieces carried the same intentional beauty, adding vibrance and softness to the rainy-day palette.
Yes, it rained. And it was beautiful. The soft patter on the windows, the misty streets of downtown Columbus, and the way the couple leaned into it. Umbrellas in hand and smiles wide. made for some of the most heartfelt, cinematic moments of the entire gallery.
Rain has a way of slowing everything down, of turning focus inward. And for Nachelle and Eric, it only made their celebration feel more intimate, more connected, and more unforgettable.
From custom cocktails to heartfelt toasts, and a dance floor that stayed full all night, this wedding was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. It was a reflection of who Nachelle and Eric are: stylish, joyful, and deeply in love at High Line Car House in the Brewery District.
